For specific C-peptide detection, validate against proinsulin cross-reactivity using appropriate controls.
- For ELISA applications, consider using the antibody in a capture or detection format after confirming linearity and specificity with recombinant C-peptide and proinsulin standards in your sample matrix.
- In immunohistochemistry (IHC-P), paraffin-embedded pancreatic tissue sections should show strong staining in islet beta-cells; antigen retrieval may be required for optimal signal.
- For immunofluorescence (IF/ICC and IF-P), permeabilization is recommended to access intracellular C-peptide stores; include an isotype control to assess background.
