Biological Background: UBE2F Function and Localization
- UBE2F, also known as NEDD8-conjugating enzyme 2 (NCE2), accepts the ubiquitin-like protein NEDD8 from the UBA3-NAE1 E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to target proteins. Related references: PMID:19250909, PMID:23201271
- Together with the E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF7/RBX2, UBE2F specifically neddylates cullin-5 (CUL5). Related references: PMID:19250909, PMID:23201271, PMID:23300442

- For Western blot, a band around 21 kDa is expected. Ensure proper protein extraction and loading controls.
- IHC-P and IF/ICC may require antigen retrieval and optimized permeabilization, respectively. Validate with appropriate positive and negative tissue/cell controls.
- The antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat, making it suitable for preclinical models. However, sequence alignment in the target epitope regions should be verified for your specific experimental setup.
