Biological Background: RalA Function and Localization

- Serves as a GTP sensor for GTP-dependent exocytosis of dense core vesicles and, via the RALA-exocyst complex, controls integrin-dependent membrane raft exocytosis and growth signaling. Related references: PMID:20005108
- Functions as a key regulator of LPAR1 signaling by competing with GRK2 for LPAR1 binding, thereby modulating receptor signaling properties.
