Biological Background: ICOS/CD278 Function and Localization
- ICOS (Inducible T-cell costimulator), also known as AILIM, CCLP, CRP-1, and Ly115, is a stimulatory receptor expressed on activated or antigen-experienced T-cells. It is encoded by the Icos gene (GeneID 54167 in mouse) and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily.
