  • Leukocyte surface antigen CD47, also known as Integrin-associated protein (IAP), is encoded by the Cd47 gene.
  • Serves as an adhesive protein and receptor for thrombospondin THBS1, modulating integrin signaling via heterotrimeric G proteins; involved in signal transduction, cardiovascular homeostasis, inflammation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, cellular self-renewal, and immunoregulation.   • Plays a role in memory formation and synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus (By similarity).
  • Acts as a receptor for SIRPA, preventing dendritic cell maturation and inhibiting cytokine production; interaction with SIRPG mediates cell-cell adhesion and costimulates T-cell activation (By similarity).
