- CD40 (Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 5) is a cell surface receptor also known as Bp50, B-cell surface antigen CD40, and CD40L receptor.
- Functions as the primary receptor for TNFSF5/CD40LG (CD40 ligand), mediating critical immune signaling pathways (By similarity).
