- Protein Identity: Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 10B (TNFRSF10B), also known as Death receptor 5 (DR5), CD262, TRAILR2, KILLER, TRICKB, and MK. It is a member of the TNFR superfamily.
- Apoptotic Function: Functions as a receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TNFSF10/TRAIL. Upon ligand binding, the adaptor molecule FADD recruits caspase-8 to the receptor, forming the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), which proteolytically activates caspase-8 to initiate apoptosis via downstream caspases.
- Non-Apoptotic Signaling: Promotes the activation of NF-kappa-B, linking TRAIL signaling to pro-inflammatory and survival pathways.

- This antibody is intended for flow cytometry (FC). Because the immunogen corresponds to amino acids 53–170 of the extracellular domain, it is expected to recognize the native surface receptor on mouse cells.
- For optimal flow cytometry staining, consider titrating the antibody to determine the saturating concentration and use appropriate isotype controls and live/dead exclusion dyes.
- Since TNFRSF10B expression can be modulated by cellular stress or TRAIL stimulation, validate staining conditions in the relevant cell lines or primary cells treated under controlled experimental parameters.
