Biological Background: LAMP2 Function and Localization

• LAMP2 (Lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2, also known as CD107b, LGP-96) is a heavily glycosylated type I transmembrane protein and a member of the LAMP family, which also includes LAMP1 and LAMP3.
