Biological Background: Interleukin-1 beta Function and Localization
- IL-1β (Interleukin-1 beta, also known as Catabolin) is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine and a member of the interleukin-1 family. It is encoded by the IL1B gene in humans (Gene ID: 3553).
