Biological Background: CPT1A Function and Localization
- CPT1A, also known as carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase 1 liver isoform (CPT I, CPTI-L), is an 88 kDa mitochondrial outer membrane enzyme encoded by the CPT1A gene (GeneID 1374) (UniProt P50416).
