- CD52, also known as CAMPATH-1 antigen, HE5, or CDW52, is a very small GPI-anchored glycoprotein with a mature peptide of only 12 amino acids after signal peptide cleavage and GPI attachment.
- As a GPI-anchored membrane protein, CD52 localizes to the cell membrane and is attached via a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor, lacking a transmembrane domain.
