- Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 4 (TNFRSF4), also known as CD134, OX40, ACT35 antigen, OX40L receptor, and TAX transcriptionally-activated glycoprotein 1 receptor. It is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing a signal peptide, four cysteine-rich repeats in the extracellular domain, a transmembrane helix, and a cytoplasmic tail.
- Functions as a receptor for TNFSF4/OX40L/GP34, providing costimulatory signals that promote long-term T-cell immunity, survival, and cytokine production.
- Serves as a host cell receptor for human herpesvirus 6B (HHV-6B) entry during microbial infection.
