  • Ezrin localizes to the apical cell membrane, microvillus and ruffle membranes, as well as the cell cortex and underlying cytoskeleton.
  • Expression is prominent in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and intestinal epithelial microvilli, with preferential astrocyte localization in the brain and absence from most neurons.
