  • Protein identity and isoforms: PERK (EIF2AK3) is also known as PRKR-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase, pancreatic eIF2-alpha kinase, and protein tyrosine kinase EIF2AK3. It belongs to the eIF2α kinase family and is the primary sensor of ER stress.
