Biological Background: CR2/CD21 Function and Localization
- CR2, also known as CD21 or complement C3d receptor, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as a receptor for complement component C3d, facilitating antigen recognition and uptake by B-cells (PubMed:1849076, PubMed:21527715, PubMed:7753047).
