Biological Background: CD85d (LILRB2) Function and Localization
- Leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor subfamily B member 2 (LILRB2), also known as CD85d, ILT-4, LIR-2, and MIR-10, is an inhibitory receptor primarily expressed on myeloid cells and a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family.
- Serves as a receptor for class I MHC antigens, recognizing a broad spectrum of HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C, HLA-G, and HLA-F alleles, thereby contributing to immune down-regulation and the development of tolerance. Related references: PMID:11169396 PMID:12853576 PMID:16455647
