  • OGDHL (2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase-like) is the E1-like component of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase multienzyme complex (OGDHC), also designated 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex component E1-like (OGDC-E1-like) or alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase-like.
  • In the TCA cycle, it catalyzes the decarboxylation of alpha‑ketoglutarate to succinyl‑CoA and CO₂ while reducing NAD⁺ to NADH. This activity is predominantly mitochondrial.
