• Ephexin-1, also known as NGEF, is a neuronal guanine nucleotide exchange factor that activates the Rho GTPases RHOA, RAC1, and CDC42.

• Contributes to dendritic spine morphogenesis, influencing synaptic plasticity and connectivity.
• Predominantly localized in the cytoplasm, but also associated with the membrane and enriched at growth cones of developing neurons.
