Biological Background: NFATC2 Function and Localization
- NFATC2 (also known as NFAT1, NF-ATp, JCOSL, NFATP) is a member of the NFAT transcription factor family, characterized by a DNA-binding domain and calcineurin-regulated nuclear localization.
- It plays a critical role in the inducible expression of cytokine genes in T-cells, including IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, TNF, and GM-CSF. Related references: PMID:15790681
- NFATC2 promotes invasive cell migration by activating GPC6 expression and the WNT5A signaling pathway. Related references: PMID:21871017

- Based on the supplier's reported applications (WB, IF/ICC, IF-P, IHC-P, ELISA), the antibody is suitable for multiple detection platforms. For Western blot, a band around 100 kDa is expected. For immunostaining, fixation and permeabilization conditions may need optimization to detect nuclear translocated NFATC2.
