  • Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP9), also known as 92 kDa gelatinase, gelatinase B (GELB), or CLG4B, is a zinc-dependent endopeptidase belonging to the matrix metalloproteinase family.
  • Plays an essential role in local proteolysis of the extracellular matrix and in leukocyte migration.
