Biological Background: MAPRE1 Function and Localization

Experimental Guidance and Technical Tips

• For Western blot (WB), endogenous MAPRE1 migrates at ~30 kDa. Use appropriate positive controls (e.g., HeLa, HEK293). Because the immunogen spans aa 134–268, cross-reactivity with isoforms or paralogs is possible; consider validation with siRNA.
• For immunofluorescence/ICC (IF/ICC), MAPRE1 shows comet-like plus-end staining. Optimize fixation (e.g., methanol) and permeabilization to preserve microtubule structures. Co-stain with α-tubulin to confirm localization.
• This polyclonal antibody is also suitable for ELISA. Titration and assay conditions should be empirically determined for each application.
