Biological Background: Pin1 (Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase NIMA-interacting 1) Function and Localization

  • Regulates mitosis by interacting with NIMA and attenuating its activity; down-regulates kinase activity of BTK. Related references: PMID:16644721

  • Binds and targets PML and BCL6 for proteasomal degradation in a phosphorylation-dependent manner. Related references: PMID:17828269
