- PHF11 (PHD finger protein 11) is also known as BRCA1 C-terminus-associated protein (BCAP) and renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-34. It contains a PHD-type zinc finger domain, characteristic of chromatin-associated proteins.
- PHF11 functions as a positive regulator of Th1-type cytokine gene expression, playing a role in adaptive immune responses.
- The protein is localized to the nucleus, consistent with its role in transcriptional regulation.
- PHF11 is highly expressed in immune cells, including T cells, B cells, natural killer cells, and mature dendritic cells. It shows higher expression in Th1 cells compared to Th2 cells.
