  • FES encodes the tyrosine-protein kinase Fes/Fps, a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase belonging to the Fes/Fer family. Also known as feline sarcoma/Fujinami avian sarcoma oncogene homolog, proto-oncogene c-Fes, and p93c-fes.
  • It acts downstream of cell surface receptors such as FCER1 and KIT to regulate actin cytoskeleton dynamics, microtubule assembly, cell attachment, and cell spreading.
