- ETV4 (ETS translocation variant 4) is a member of the ETS family of transcription factors, also known as PEA3, E1A-F, or PEAS3. Multiple isoforms are generated through alternative splicing.
- It acts as a transcriptional activator, binding to specific DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. In the nervous system, it controls motor neuron positioning and terminal arborization (By similarity), while in the skin it influences keratinocyte differentiation (PubMed:31552090). - ETV4 is predominantly localized in the nucleus, consistent with its function as a transcription factor.

- When performing Western blotting, a band around 54 kDa is anticipated; however, due to post-translational modifications, the observed molecular weight may shift slightly. Validate in your experimental system.
- Given the polyclonal nature, this antibody may recognize multiple ETV4 isoforms. Check for additional bands, especially in samples with known alternative splicing events.
- For ELISA, titrate the antibody and use appropriate positive controls such as recombinant ETV4 protein or nuclear extracts from relevant cell lines.
