  • EIF6 (also known as p27BBP, ITGB4BP, CAB) is a eukaryotic translation initiation factor that regulates ribosomal subunit association.
  • Binds to the 60S ribosomal subunit and prevents its premature assembly with the 40S subunit in the cytoplasm, thereby inhibiting 80S initiation complex formation.
