Biological Background: CYP7A1 Function and Localization
- Cytochrome P450 7A1 (CYP7A1), also known as cholesterol 7-alpha-monooxygenase or CYP7, is a key hepatic enzyme initiating the classical pathway of bile acid biosynthesis.
