• Leukosialin (CD43, SPN) is the predominant cell surface sialoprotein of leukocytes, heavily glycosylated and expressed as multiple isoforms.
• Regulates T-cell activation and differentiation: negatively regulates Th2 differentiation and promotes IFN-gamma expression by T-cells, inducing cytokine receptor IFNGR and IL4R expression and mediating their clustering with TCR (PubMed:18036228; PubMed:24328034).
