Biological Background: Integrin alpha-M Function and Localization

  • Integrin alpha-M (ITGAM/CD11b) combines with integrin beta-2 (ITGB2/CD18) to form the Mac-1/CR3 heterodimer, mediating adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes.
