Biological Background: CD11b Function and Localization

• CD11b, also known as integrin alpha-M (ITGAM), is a member of the integrin family that pairs with the beta-2 subunit (ITGB2/CD18) to form complement receptor 3 (CR3), also designated MAC-1.
