Biological Background: YTHDF2 Function and Localization
- YTHDF2 specifically binds N6-methyladenosine (m6A)-containing RNAs and regulates their stability by promoting degradation through interactions with the CCR4-NOT deadenylase complex and the ribonuclease P/MRP complex. Related references: PMID:24284625 PMID:26046440 PMID:26318451 PMID:27558897

- The immunogen (amino acids 339–565) encompasses the YTH domain critical for m6A recognition; for Western blot, consider using knockout cell lines to confirm band specificity, as this antibody has been KO validated.
- For immunoprecipitation (IP), the antibody may be suitable for enriching endogenous YTHDF2–RNA complexes; include appropriate negative controls (e.g., IgG) to assess background.
