- VAV3 is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that catalyzes the exchange of GDP for GTP on Rho family GTPases, primarily RhoA, RhoG, and, to a lesser extent, Rac1, thereby regulating cytoskeletal dynamics.
