F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 1A (also known as E3RSIkappaB, beta-TrCP) functions as a substrate recognition component of the SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, mediating ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target proteins by recognizing phosphorylated substrates.
