Biological Background: USP22 Function and Localization

• Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 22 (USP22), also designated deubiquitinating enzyme 22, ubiquitin thioesterase 22, or ubiquitin-specific-processing protease 22, is a thiol protease that removes ubiquitin from substrate proteins.
