• ULBP1 (UL16-binding protein 1), also known as N2DL-1, RAET1I, or NKG2DL1, is a GPI-anchored cell surface glycoprotein and a member of the RAET1 family.
• It functions as a stress-induced ligand for the activating receptor NKG2D (KLRK1), playing a critical role in immune surveillance by mediating natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity.
