- UBE4B (Ubiquitin Conjugation Factor E4 B) is a multi-domain protein functioning as both an E3 and E4 ubiquitin ligase in the ubiquitin-proteasome system.
- It catalyzes the transfer of ubiquitin from E2 enzymes to substrates and can assemble polyubiquitin chains on pre-ubiquitinated targets, facilitating proteasomal degradation.
