  • It inhibits actin polymerization by sequestering globular actin (G-actin) and capping the barbed ends of actin filaments, thereby regulating cell motility and morphological processes.
  • TWF1 plays a significant role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and the distribution of endocytic organelles.
  • The protein localizes predominantly to the cytoplasm and is associated with the cytoskeleton.
