Biological Background: TRAF2 Function and Localization

Experimental Guidance and Technical Tips

  • The immunogen corresponds to the N-terminal region (aa 1-300) of human TRAF2, which encompasses the RING domain. This region is highly conserved, consistent with the antibody's cross-reactivity with mouse and rat.
  • For Western blotting, a band around 56 kDa is expected. Multiple bands may appear due to post-translational modifications or alternative splicing isoforms; consider validating with appropriate controls.
  • For immunohistochemistry (IHC-P), standard antigen retrieval procedures are recommended. Optimize antibody dilution and incubation conditions using positive and negative control tissues.
  • For ELISA, titrate the antibody to determine the optimal working concentration for your specific assay format and sample type.
