• TPD52 (tumor protein D52) is a member of the TPD52 family, encoded by the TPD52 gene, and known by aliases including D52, N8L, PC-1, PrLZ, and hD52.
• The protein is associated with oncogenic processes, as evidenced by its frequent overexpression in various tumor cell lines.
• Isoform 2 is expressed in colon, breast, prostate, pancreas, and kidney tumor cell lines; in normal tissues, it is expressed at high levels in kidney, prostate, brain, small intestine, and pancreas, with lower expression in lung, liver, and heart.
