Biological Background: TDP-43/TARDBP Function and Localization

• TDP-43 is an RNA-binding protein with two RNA recognition motifs (RRM1 and RRM2) that preferentially binds GU-repeat sequences in long introns and 3'UTRs of mRNAs.
