Biological Background: SPRTN (DNA-dependent metalloprotease) Function and Localization

• SPRTN is a DNA-dependent metalloprotease that associates with the replication machinery and cleaves covalent DNA-protein cross-links (DPCs) during DNA synthesis, playing a key role in maintaining genomic integrity.
