- SNX7 encodes sorting nexin-7, a member of the sorting nexin family characterized by a phox (PX) domain that facilitates phosphoinositide binding and membrane association.
- It is involved in the regulation of endocytosis and multiple stages of intracellular trafficking, particularly at the early endosome membrane.

- SNX7 localizes predominantly to the early endosome membrane, consistent with its role in endosomal sorting and trafficking.

- For Western blot, a band around 45 kDa is expected; validate detection in positive controls such as human cell lines expressing SNX7 and in mouse/rat tissues given the reported cross-reactivity.
- ELISA performance has been demonstrated; optimization of coating antigen and antibody dilution may be needed depending on the assay format.
- Since SNX7 interacts with ATG9A and other trafficking proteins, co-immunoprecipitation experiments may be feasible; however, the antibody's suitability for IP should be empirically validated.
