- Predominantly expressed in smooth muscle tissues such as the umbilical artery, bladder, esophagus, and trachea.
- Post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation and methylation, regulate myosin-11 assembly, activity, and disease associations.

- The immunogen corresponds to amino acids 1160–1313; consider this region when designing peptide competition assays or epitope mapping.
- For Western blot, validate the antibody with lysates from smooth muscle cell lines or tissues (human, mouse, rat). Note the high molecular weight (~227 kDa); use low-percentage SDS-PAGE gels and extended transfer times.
