- SLCO3A1 is a putative organic anion antiporter with broad substrate specificity, transporting thyroid hormones (L-thyroxine), prostanoids (PGE1, PGE2), bile acids (taurocholate, glycolate, glycochenodeoxycholate), and peptide hormones (L-arginine vasopressin) in a tissue-specific manner.
