- SLCO2B1 (OATP2B1/OATP-B) is a multi-specific organic anion transporter that mediates Na+-independent uptake of various substrates, including steroid sulfate conjugates (estrone-3-sulfate, DHEA-S, pregnenolone sulfate), prostaglandins (PGD2, PGE1, PGE2), thyroxine, leukotriene C4, and thromboxane B2.
