Biological Background: Sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 2A Function and Localization
- Sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 2A (NaPi-2a), also known as solute carrier family 34 member 1 (SLC34A1), is a multi-pass transmembrane protein that belongs to the SLC34 family.

- The protein is localized to the apical cell membrane.
- It is primarily expressed in kidney and lung tissues.
