Biological Background: SHP2 Function and Localization
- SHP2, encoded by the PTPN11 gene, is a non-receptor tyrosine-protein phosphatase also known as PTP-1D, SH-PTP2, and associated with Noonan syndrome (NS1) and juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML).
