- SHOX (short stature homeobox protein), also known as pseudoautosomal homeobox-containing osteogenic protein, is a transcription factor encoded by the SHOX (PHOG) gene. Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms involved in growth regulation.

- For Western blot, expect a band at approximately 32 kDa. Use a molecular weight marker and optimize the gel percentage and transfer settings for proteins in this range.
