- SFPQ (splicing factor proline- and glutamine-rich), also known as PSF, POMP100, or PPP1R140, is a multifunctional DNA- and RNA-binding protein encoded by the SFPQ gene.
- It is an essential pre-mRNA splicing factor that operates early in spliceosome assembly and promotes catalytic step II, often as a heteromer with NONO. SFPQ binds intronic polypyrimidine tracts and U5 snRNA.

- SFPQ also mediates transcriptional repression by interacting with SIN3A and recruiting histone deacetylases, and regulates circadian clock genes by inhibiting CLOCK-BMAL1 activity.
