Biological Background: RPAP2 Function and Localization

• RPAP2 is a CTD phosphatase that regulates transcription of snRNA genes. It binds phosphorylated Ser-7 of the POLR2A CTD and dephosphorylates Ser-5, facilitating snRNA gene transcription.
